Art.1 Status

1. Group of countier and principalities related as an alliance described in this document is called Baltic Union.
2. Any country, which lies directly on the Baltic coast or near it can become a member of the Baltic Union.
3. All members of the Baltic Union have equal rights and duties to each other.

Art.2 Alliance objectives

The main aim of the Baltic Union is to strengthen economic and military cooperation between members and to help member countries in case of any threats.

Art.3 Membership

1. Any Nation, which lies directly on the Baltic coast or near it can become a member of the Baltic Union.
2. To confirm a membership, the representative of given country should sign this pact.
3. Each member of the Baltic Union for breaking the rules of the pact or doing harm to another member may be expelled from the alliance.

Art.4 Authorities

1. Representative of individual members of the Baltic Union may be the highest member of the government (King, Prince, Castellan) or a person designated by the government of the country.
2. The group of representatives of the Baltic Union will be called the Council of Elders.
3. Each member of the Council of Elders has only one vote during the voting, equal to other members.
4. To change the statute, at least 2/3 of the Council of Elders positive votes is needed.
5. To accept a new member or expel an old one, at least 2/3 of the Council of Elders positive votes is needed.

Art.5 Cooperation in the field of economics and shipping within the Baltic Union

1. Each ship sailing from one of the Baltic Union member country has provided free docking in other member countries.
2. Naval expedition to the one of the Baltic Union member country must be notified to the the Council of Elders member from destination country. This notification must be sent immediately after leaving home port and it must contain passenger list and date of stay.
3. The Baltic Union member request for mooring the ship in the other member port will be accepted immediately if Art.5 pkt. 2 was fullfilled.
4. Members of the Baltic Union will not be charged for docking in the ports of the other members as long as the docking time is not longer then 7 days.
5. When the free doking time is exceeded or when Art. 5 pkt. 2 was not fullfilled, the local port law will oblige.
6. Every citizen of the Baltic Union member country is provided with free trade within the other member countries, ie. trading goods will have no number or price limits. Unless there are limits for others in local law. 7. Each member of the Baltic Union has a priority to repair ship in the ports of other members and possibility to purchase ships at low prices from other members (the cost of materials + margin, which is given in part: Additional arrangements).

Art. 6 Cultural and judicial activities within the Baltic Union

1. Every citizen of the Baltic Union member country may teach at the University in other member country if professors from given country do not have the skills or the University needs additional faculty.
2. If someone commited a crime in one of the Baltic Union member countries and fled to another member country before he was judged and convicted, then the Court of the country where the fugitive escaped has a duty to judge this person. The fugitive will be judged according to the laws that oblige in the country he fled to, and he can be judged only when the crime he has commited in another Baltic Union member country, wil be considered as a crime according to law of country he fled to.
3. At the same time it is agreed, that anyone, who flee after commiting a crime, will be convicted for the biggest punishement that oblige for this crime in the country he fled to. Then there will be no attenuating circumstances for fugitives judged by our courts and judges should give the most severe sentences in such cases to give them a lesson, and to show other criminals, that we have no compassion for them.
4. Anyone convinced as a fugivive can not be pardoned as provided for other criminals in the country in which he was convicted. He can only claim for clearing his name before the authorities of the Baltic Union member country in which he committed a crime and only after serving his sentences. He can not, however, claim for any compensation or apology.
5. When a citizen of any of the Baltic Union member country attack one of the other members, it means his death sentence across the Baltic Union borders, ie. he will be beheaded in every country he showes up.

Art. 7 Military activities within the Baltic Union

1. Each member country of the Baltic Union has a DUTY to help other member, when it is attacked by external or internal hostile. When a member country attacks someone from outside the Baltic Union other member MAY help in the attack
2. In the case of enemy naval attack on a member of Baltic Union or when the enemy escape by sea, the orher members of the Baltic Union are obliged to sink that enemy with all forces.
3. There are nominated Corsairs of the Baltic Union, who will patrol Baltic Sea and defend Baltic Union merchants and travelers from attacks.
4. The Baltic Union Corsairs will be given a privateer letter, by which the captain of the ship will be authorized by the Council of Members to pursue, sink or confiscate enemy goods. He will be able to freely moor and repair his ship in the ports of the Baltic Union countries.
5. The privateer letter given by Council of Elders to be valid must be stamped by each member of the Council.
6. The Corsair is obligated to sink any enemy ship if the condition of his ship is good enough and he has high chances to win.
7. Each Baltic Union member country should have at least one warship or one Corsair.

Art. 8 Additional arrangements

1. The Principality of Mazovia agrees to provide people pick up from the sea port in Zulawy (port in the delta of the Vistula). These people will be taken from this port when conditions of Art. 5 pkt. 2 are met.
2. Novgorod Republic agrees to provide assistance in moving trading goods from the port to the city of Novogrod. Assistance will be granted only if Novogrod will be asked for help and when conditions of Art. 5 pkt. 2 are met.
3. It is agreed, that the margin added to the purchase price of the ship in the ports of the Baltic Union countires by any of the Baltic Union member will not be greater than 1000 pieces of gold.
